Eaton 5P is used for backup power supply of servers, network elements and data storages. The LCD display provides basic information on the status of the UPS and the measured quantities on one screen. Advanced configuration options are also available using easy-to-understand navigation buttons. Enables measurement of energy consumption. The load segments can be controlled in such a way that, in the event of a power failure from the electrical distribution network, less important devices are preferentially shut down and the backup time from the battery for key devices is extended. It is also possible to manage load segments remotely and restart blocked data network devices or create and activate time sequences of their shutdown and gradual start-up. UPS 5P offers communication via serial port (RJ-45) and USB port. In addition, it has a plug-in position for an optional communication adapter (including an SNMP/Web card or a relay contact card). The UPS uses a modern technique of three-stage charging, which recharges the batteries only when necessary, so the batteries corrode less and their life is extended by up to 50%. Batteries can be changed on the fly without having to shut down connected devices. The UPS in the Rack version can be placed in one height module (1U) of a standard rack.
