POE-152 and POE-152S are standardized power supply units for power transmission over Ethernet. The IEEE802.3af Power over Ethernet standard provides 48V DC power over an Ethernet cable. They also support IEEE 802.3 / 802.3u / 802.3ab, 10/100/1000Base-T standards. With the POE-152 installed, you can combine digital data traffic with current cable power. Devices of the IEEE802.3af standard detect themselves whether the connected device is capable of being powered from Ethernet. Devices powered in this way are also protected against damage due to incorrect connections. POE-152 and POE-152S are small devices for powering devices using Ethernet distributions. They provide a selectable DC voltage level for remote Ethernet devices that are hundreds of meters away. It does so over unused pairs of wires. POE-152S units have selectable voltages of 5V or 12V. This allows to install any devices such as wireless units, Ethernet ones Internet cameras, VoIP phones and other units without depending on the power adapter. POE-152/152S meets the IEEE802.3af standard, protects the device from damage caused by incorrect installation; provides 48V DC over existing CAT5, CAT5E, CAT6 cabling. The power adapter is included in the package.
