10 gigabit managed switch operating at 2. and 3. layer of the OSI model. It is equipped with advanced features for use in wide area networks and backbone connections. IP stacking helps network administrators to configure up to 24 switches in the same series using a single IP address instead of connecting and configuring each unit individually. IP Stacking technology combines a series of SGS-6341 switches to enable centralized management through a single unit, regardless of physical location or switch type, as long as they are connected to the same local network. The SGS-6341 series can be connected as a ring ( HW stacking ) to provide redundancy and guarantee data integrity even in case of failure of one switch in the stack/stack. Switches can even be hot swapped without network disruption, greatly simplifying the task of upgrading a LAN to meet increasing bandwidth requirements.
