Xtend Solarmi DS240S-130DC
Surge arrester intended for the protection of photovoltaic devices. Due to the nominal input voltage of 130V and max. voltage of 180V, it is suitable for use with solar controllers and GridFree GF-SUN inverters. Max. operating current 50 A. Surge arresters include a thermal disconnector - varistors with thermal fuse, optical fault indication and remote signaling of arrester status. The arrester is mounted on a DIN rail and has a modular structure - a basic part and exchangeable modules. The replaceable module enables easy and quick replacement of a damaged part.
The DS240S-130 is designed to protect smaller and medium-sized island photovoltaic power plants with a maximum input of 180V. It serves as the main protection of the system against overvoltage peaks caused, for example, by a lightning strike. The installation is carried out on the line from the solar panels before entering the controller or inverter. These devices will be connected in parallel to ground.
The overvoltage protection conducts the overvoltage potential through the grounding terminal block to earth and thus protects other devices in the system.
