Media converter designed to convert media from optical line 1000Base-LX/LH to metallic line 1000Base-T and vice versa. The MC210CS media converter, which was designed according to IEEE802.3ab 1000Base-T and IEEE802.3z 1000Base-LX/LH standards, is intended for use with singlemode optical cable with SC type connector. The MC210CS media converter supports the Long Wave Laser (LX) specification at maximum packet forwarding speed. It uses a wavelength of 1310 nm for receiving and sending data. Other features of this module include the ability to be used as a stand-alone device (no chassis required), MDI/MDI-X auto-detection for the TX port, and front panel status LEDs. The MC210CS module supports data transmission using a singlemode optical cable at a distance of up to 15 km.
