The TL-SF1008P is an 8-port 10/100Mbit/s unmanaged switch that requires no configuration and provides 4 PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports with support for the 802.3af standard.
It can automatically detect and power all devices that require power and comply with the aforementioned IEEE 802.3af standard. In this case, electrical energy is transmitted together with data along one cable, which allows you to expand the network where there is no electricity. lines or sockets are missing, where you want to attach devices such as APs, IP cameras or IP phones, etc. This PoE switch is perfect for places where there is no electricity. socket, e.g. on roofs, attics, masts, etc., or if you want to save on additional cables needed to power the device. The TL-SF1008P has a port priority* function. The maximum output per 1 ethernet port is 15.4 W, the maximum output of all 4 ethernet ports is 57 W.
*Port priorities are determined by number, i.e. port 1 has the highest priority and port 4 the lowest. This feature helps protect the device in the event of a system voltage overload. For example: port 1, 2 and 4, they supply 15.4 W (so 46.2 W in total). If another device with a consumption of 10 watts is connected to port 3 (overload occurs), then the switch automatically turns off port 4. This means that ports 1 and 2 will deliver 15.4W, port 3 10W and port 4 will be unpowered.
