Automatic functions ensure trouble-free installation ( Plug and Play) of this gigabit switch. It does not require any configuration. Auto MDI/MDI-X functionality on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables or outbound ports. The auto-negotiation function on each port senses the connection speed of the network device (either 10 or 100 Mbit/s) and intelligently adapts it for compatibility and optimal performance. The compact size is ideal for desktop computers with limited space; the device can be conveniently and safely mounted in a rack. Dynamic LED indicators display the status in real time and provide basic error diagnostics.
The rack-mountable metal case combined with the safe certified internal power supply makes the switch a very robust solution at a very reasonable price for connecting up to 16 users. Utilizing a non-blocking switching architecture, the TL-SF1016 forwards and filters packets at full cable speed to ensure maximum throughput. Using the Jumbo 10K frame, a significant speedup was achieved when transferring large files.
