Gigabit miniGBIC module (SFP), 1000Base-LX, duplex LC connector, single-mode. Range 80 km. Designed for CWDM systems, wavelength 1490nm. Performance margin of at least 28dB. Support of most manufacturers (Cisco, Dell, Planet, ...)
Small-Form-Pluggable (SFP) miniGBIC conversion Gigabit module. Standard 1000Base-LX, IEEE82.3z. Duplex LC connector, for single-mode fibers. CWDM modules allow multiple wavelengths to be transmitted along an optical fiber (or one pair of fibers). Each module works with a different wavelength with a distance of 20nm. Combining and splitting the optical signal is done on a passive optical splitter/combiner.
The module itself is installed in any switch with miniGBIC (SFP) ports. E.g. GSW-2400, FGSW-4840S, SGSW-2620, WGT/GT-705A, ENW-9607M.
Reliable for a distance of 80km.
When using taps, read the attenuation by inserting and branching.
