EPEVER TRACER6415AN
The high-performance MPPT controller is used to control the flow of energy from the solar panel or power supply to the batteries and the appliance. It works with 12/24/36 and 48 V systems and with currents up to 60 A. The maximum input voltage is up to 150 V.
The TracerAN series of solar controllers is a new generation that follows on from the TracerA series. Improves the MPPT algorithm and thanks to the support of 150 V input voltage, it allows the connection of a higher number of solar panels in series. This increases the overall efficiency of the solar system. The main advantage is the use of the state-of-the-art MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology, which increases the efficiency of the entire system by 30% or more. MPPT technology ensures the maximum use of the energy supplied from the PV panel by selecting the consumption at the working point with the maximum supplied power. This point is continuously monitored and maintained. This compensates for all effects of temperature, different lighting intensities, etc.
This solar controller is suitable for a wide range of island applications such as family and apartment buildings. A multifunctional display is integrated directly into the MPPT controller for easy monitoring of the system and possible setting of operating parameters incl. control LEDs. The regulator from the Tracer AN series is based on multi-phase synchronous rectification technology (MSRT) and advanced MPPT control algorithm, with dual-core processor architecture and common minus pole. MSRT can guarantee a very high conversion efficiency at any charging power, which clearly improves the energy efficiency of the solar system.
Maximum output of solar panels in Wp
The maximum charging power to the battery of this model is 60 A, which corresponds to a panel power of 750 Wp if you have a 12V battery, 1500 Wp if you have a 24V battery, or 3000 Wp if you have a 48V battery. If the panel delivers higher power, the controller will only limit it to its nominal maximum power. However, the power of the PV panels must not be higher than 1.5 times the nominal power of the regulator, otherwise the regulator may be permanently damaged!
Maximum input voltage of solar panels
You can connect solar panels in series, their output total no-load voltage, referred to as Voc (be careful not to confuse it with the voltage of the panel under load, referred to as Vmpp), but it must never exceed the no-load voltage value Voc 150 V - exceeding this value will permanently damage the regulator. Here it must be taken into account that the solar panel voltage increases with decreasing ambient temperature and the Voc value given in the solar panel parameters is the value for 25 °C. We therefore do not recommend that the value of the stated Voc exceed 138 V at 25 °C (load voltage Vmpp maximum 108 V)!
Monitoring and settings
Setting the controller parameters (mainly the type of battery used) is done using the built-in LCD or the external MT50 display - it is not part of the controller. There are three basic types of batteries: hermetically sealed, gel, flooded. The fourth option is a user-adjustable battery - here you can set any parameters. You can also perform parameter settings and monitoring on your PC, you will only need the EPsolar USB communication cable and software, which you can download for free to the USB cable card. It can also be monitored and set using a mobile phone or tablet. For this you will need the Bluetooth module BLE-01.
Load or automatic generator control relays facilitate the creation of a hybrid power system. Comprehensive electronic protections, including overcharge protection, overdischarge protection and PV reverse polarity protection, effectively ensure safer and more reliable operation of the solar system for a longer period of time. The isolated RS485 interface with MODBUS standard communication protocol and 5V power supply makes it easy for the consumer to expand the device, supports the operation of up to 8 controllers in a row to expand the system, and meets various monitoring requirements, so it can be used in various devices, such as solar RV, home systems, off-road monitoring etc.
