The communication converter offers the option of connecting the solar controller to a computer. You can connect MPPT Tracer and XTRA solar controllers (REG-TR****BN, REG-TRxxxxA and REG-XTRAxxxx).
Thanks to this converter, it is possible to check the flow of energy from the solar panel directly on the monitor screen. It is also possible to display the voltage of the battery, solar panel or temperature. The advantage of this solution lies, among other things, in the possibility of saving all this information in a file with the possibility of further processing (creation of graphs, etc.).
The regulator will provide the values of the following data
- Battery voltage
- Solar panel voltage
- Load current
- Excessive discharge voltage
- Full voltage
- Temperature
- Charging current
The following values are displayed as Yes/No
- Load detected
- Congestion
- Short circuit
- Overcharges
- Low battery voltage
- Fully charges the battery
- Charging
The application is only used to read and save log data to files. You can further analyze these files. The converter is delivered including a patch cable with RJ45 terminals and an RS-485 USB converter. Cable length 1.5m. The PC application is available among the related documents.
