Victron SmartSolar RS 450/100-Tr VE.Can MPPT
Robust and fast MPPT controller with VE.Can for demanding conditions with panel voltage up to 450 V, charging current 100 A. For batteries 48 V, PV max. 5760 Wp. Built-in Bluetooth and display. Solar controllers SmartSolar MPPT RS 450 V (100 A) are a solution for systems with a larger number of series-connected PV panels charging 48 V batteries. This product is ideal for large island systems, but also for systems connected to the distribution network.
Two independent PV inputs for MPPT monitoring
Thanks to two independent inputs, you can connect, for example, two differently oriented or differently sized PV arrays.
VE.Direct port
For connection to the GX device, system monitoring, data transfer to the VRM portal and remote firmware updates.
VE.Can
A solution for multiple solar controllers in one system. With the VE.Can function, up to 25 units can be synchronized in one PV system.
Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
Victron Energy's MPPT solar controllers are among the absolute world leaders in this field and offer ultra-fast MPPT tracking.
Built-in Bluetooth Smart
You can monitor and configure the SmartSolar MPPT controller via your smartphone or tablet. You can monitor current statuses and historical data and perform parameter settings using the VictronConnect mobile app.
If you want to do the above using a PC, then you can use the VE.direct to USB cable to connect the controller and PC. You just install the Victron Connect program on your computer.
Built-in display
The display is located on the front of the controller and allows you to visualize all operating conditions.
Isolated PV connection for greater safety
Full galvanic isolation between the PV and battery connections provides additional overall system safety.
PV insulation resistance monitoring at higher voltages
The MPPT RS continuously monitors the PV panels and can detect any faults that reduce the insulation of the panels to dangerous levels.
I/O connection
Programmable relay, temperature sensor, auxiliary, digital input and voltage sensor. The remote input can receive signals from the Victron BMS.
Recommended configuration
For batteries with a voltage of 48 V. Maximum DC charging power of the system 5.76 kW. If these values are exceeded, the controller will not be damaged, but will only automatically reduce the incoming power from the panels to acceptable values. The maximum input short-circuit current to the regulator from the PV panels must not exceed 20 A per input, otherwise permanent damage may occur. The maximum input voltage of PV panels referred to as Voc (no-load voltage) must not exceed 450 Voc (approx. 360 Vmpp), otherwise permanent damage may occur - it must be taken into account that Voc increases with decreasing temperature. MPPT operating voltage range is 80-450V, trigger voltage is 120V.
