EPEVER XTRA2210N
The user-friendly MPPT controller is used to control the flow of energy from the solar panel or power supply to the batteries and the appliance. It works with 12 V or 24 V systems and currents up to 20 A. The maximum input voltage is 100 V. The XTRA series of solar controllers is a new generation that follows on from the TracerA series. Improves the MPPT algorithm to be reflected in fast shading changes and adds direct support for LiFePO4 batteries. Support for lead/GEL/AGM batteries is a matter of course.
This solar controller is suitable for a wide range of island applications such as cottages, houses etc. It is also suitable for use in cars thanks to the possibility of earthing to the minus pole. A multifunctional display is integrated directly into the MPPT controller for easy monitoring of the system and possible setting of operating parameters incl. control LEDs. Everything other than user battery values can be set via the display. These values are set via the accessories, see below.
The maximum charging power for the battery of this model is 20A, which corresponds to a panel power of 260 Wp for a 12V battery, or 520 Wp for a 24V battery. If the panel gives a higher output, then the regulator will only limit it to its maximum. However, the output of the PV panels must not be higher than 1.5 times the nominal output of the regulator!
The open-circuit output voltage referred to as Voc must never exceed the value of 100V - exceeding this value will permanently damage the regulator (take into account that the solar panel voltage increases as the ambient temperature decreases and the Voc value given in the solar panel parameters is at 25°C). We do not recommend that the stated Voc value exceed 90V.
The controller parameters are set using the built-in LCD (the highest version XDS2) or the external MT50 display, see below.
The main advantage is the use of the state-of-the-art MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology, which increases the efficiency of the entire system by 30% or more. MPPT technology ensures the maximum use of the energy supplied from the PV panel by selecting the consumption at the working point with the maximum supplied power. This point is continuously monitored and maintained. This compensates for all effects of temperature, different lighting intensities, etc.
Quick installation
- We will connect the battery to the solar regulator. We install a suitably sized DC fuse on the plus wire as close as possible to the battery pole (position 3)
- Connect the load (position 4)
- Connect the solar panel (position 2)
