Intelligent switches for industrial Ethernet are intended for demanding operating conditions with a wide range of working temperatures, uncertain power supply and frequent shocks. At the same time, they provide excellent multiple interconnection capabilities to achieve system interconnection robustness with very low recovery time. The switches of the IGS series are easily installed on a standard DIN rail or directly on the wall and enable the deployment of the well-known Ethernet technology even in an industrial environment. They are also suitable for installation in outdoor cabinets with large fluctuations in operating temperatures (typically wireless and MAN ISP applications).
The IGS-10020MT is equipped for redundancy, in addition to the well-known Spanning Tree method (whose recovery time is in the order of seconds), especially the specialized "Redundant ring" function, which has a recovery time and finding a new path of up to 10 ms.
