Intelligent switches for industrial Ethernet are intended for demanding operating conditions with a wide range of working temperatures, uncertain power supply and frequent shocks. At the same time, they provide excellent multiple interconnection capabilities to achieve system interconnection robustness with very low recovery time.

The IGS-20160HPT is equipped for redundancy, in addition to the well-known Spanning Tree method (whose recovery time is in the order of seconds), especially the specialized ERPS (Ethernet Ring Protection Switching) function, which has a recovery time and finding a new path of up to 50ms. Static L3 routing is supported for up to 32 rules and 128 VLAN interfaces. The switches of the IGS series are easily installed on a standard DIN rail or directly on the wall and enable the deployment of the well-known Ethernet technology even in an industrial environment. They are also suitable for installation in outdoor cabinets with large fluctuations in operating temperatures (typically wireless and MAN ISP applications). Their big advantage is the extended mean time between failures (MTBF)!

The new generation of the IGS-20160HPT module has a cyber-security protection function that increases the security of critical networks and protects against outside interference. The new IGS-20160HPT features expanded memory and an upgraded core of SSH, TLS and SSL protocols that provide robust protection against advanced threats. It includes a number of functions such as DHCP Snooping, IP Source Guard, ARP Inspection Protection, 802.1x and MAC network access, UDLD, GVRP, RADIUS, TACACS + user account management, SNMPv3 authentication and others.
