Ubiquiti UniFi Express
The powerful and compact UniFi Network gateway fulfills the function of an all-in-one gateway, firewall and Wi-Fi 6 access point. The integrated access point uses the 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) standard, offers a transmission speed (aggregated throughput) of up to 2.97 Gbps and covers an area of up to 140 m2 with a signal. Need more Wi-Fi coverage? No problem, simply add additional UX to seamlessly extend your coverage by creating a Mesh network. Thanks to the integrated antennas with a gain of 5.15 dBi (5 GHz) and 4 dBi (2.4 GHz), it provides reliable two-way communication between the AP and more than 60 clients. UniFi Express operates the UniFi Network. To extend application support, add another UniFi console, such as Cloud Key or Network Video Recorder to run UniFi Protect.
UniFi Express offers much of the same capabilities as all other UniFi gateways, namely powerful network segmentation, application firewall, VPN or license-free Site Magic SD-WAN functionality. The only exception is the IDS/IPS functions, which are not available in the UniFi Express system. When operating as a gateway, UniFi Express supports up to 4 connected UniFi Network devices, including additional UniFi Express units, switches and Wi-Fi access points. UniFi Express can also be deployed as a Wi-Fi access point in existing wired or wireless uplink UniFi networks.
