BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from insignificant loads before the battery is completely discharged (which would destroy it) or while it still has enough capacity to start the engine.

BatteryProtect automatically detects system voltage.

Easily programmable

BatteryProtect can be set to engage/disengage at several different voltage levels. The 7-segment display shows which setting has been selected.

Special settings for Li-ion batteries

In this mode, BatteryProtect can be controlled via the VE.Bus BMS. Note: BatteryProtect can also be used to interrupt charging in case of high charging voltage. See the wiring diagram in the manual.

Very low power consumption

Low consumption is very important for Li-ion batteries, especially after switching off at low voltage. For more information, please see the technical data for Li-ion batteries and the VE.Bus BMS user manual.

Overvoltage protection

In the event of an overvoltage resulting in possible damage to sensitive devices, the devices will be disconnected if the DC voltage exceeds 16 V or 32 V.

Spark resistant

It does not work with relay elements, but with MOSFET transistor switches, therefore there is no sparking.

Delayed alarm output

The alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the set value for more than 12 seconds. Therefore, starting the engine does not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a normally open connection to the negative power supply (ground), the output is short-circuit proof, the maximum current is 50 mA. The alarm output is typically connected to a buzzer or light signaling.

Delayed load disconnection and delayed reconnection

The load will disconnect 90 seconds after the alarm has been triggered. If during this time the battery voltage rises to the "connection threshold" level (e.g. during engine start), the load will not be disconnected. The load will reconnect 30 seconds after the battery voltage increases to a value greater than the preset reconnect voltage.
