VE-MULTI-48/3k is voltage converter and charger in one. Includes pure sine wave converter, adaptive charging, PowerAssist hybrid technology and other functions for integration into different types of systems. It is equipped with one AC input for connecting a distribution network or, for example, a generator. The AC1 output ensures uninterrupted power supplies, for example in UPS MultiPlus mode, it takes over the power supply of the connected appliances in less than 20 milliseconds in the event of a power outage or generator failure. The second output is only functional if the AC input is connected to a distribution network or generator. A load that would quickly drain the batteries, such as a water heater, can therefore be connected to this output and will only be powered by an AC source.

Parallel operation

Up to six units can be connected in parallel to increase performance. Units of the same type can then be configured for three-phase operation.

The main output provides powerful battery charging through the "adaptive charging" system. The software manages a three-stage automatic charging process to suit the battery condition and adds a fourth charging stage - trickle charge. In addition to this, the MultiPlus can charge a second battery using an independent charging output intended, for example, for generator starter batteries. Multiplus is intended for charging all types of lead, alkaline and lithium batteries.

PowerAssist

MultiPlus prevents overloading of a power-limited AC source, e.g. a current-limited electric connections. If the input AC current source should be overloaded, the charging current to the battery will be automatically reduced in the first place. In the second row, the output AC current is then strengthened by the current taken from the battery.

Solar energy

You can have AC power available even in the event of a power outage. MuliPlus can be used both in off-grid (island) systems and in photovoltaic systems connected to the distribution network. MultiPlus is not equipped with an input for a PV field, but it is intended for cooperation with MPPT controllers (DC coupling systems) or mains converters (AC coupling systems).

Remote monitoring and system configuration

MultiPlus systems can be monitored and controlled both locally via LAN or remotely via the Internet from any location using the free VRM portal and application. Access can be from a phone, tablet, laptop or computer. When connected to Ethernet, systems with Color Control GX or other GX equipment can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.

• In the case of a separate e.g. UPS installation, the setting can be easily done in a few minutes using DIP switches.
• Parallel and three-phase applications can be configured using the VE.Bus Quick Configure software and the VE.Bus System Configurator software.
• Off-grid and hybrid PV installations for self-consumption that include grid inverters or MPPT solar chargers can be configured with the Assistant (specialized application-specific software).
