The inverter enables the direct use of photovoltaic panel systems for powering resistance heating devices such as electric boilers, heaters, heating mats, water heating, etc. The inverter is also equipped with an AC input, which allows the inverter to be connected to the mains voltage and water heating even when it is insufficient solar radiation for heating.
Note: The GETI GWH inverter is only suitable for resistive loads with a bimetallic thermostat. Not suitable for electronically controlled thermostats!
The system is simple, it only requires the connection of the appropriate number of photovoltaic panels with a maximum power of 4000 W with an operating voltage of 160 ~ 350 V DC, a mains voltage of 230 V AC and a connection to a resistive load, e.g. a heating coil, electric boiler, electric radiator or floor heating and safety elements. The direct current generated in the panels, which cannot be fed directly to the heating devices, is converted into alternating current in the inverter, which can be used to power the heating devices. The maximum power of the system is 4000 W. The inverter has a priority input from the photovoltaic panels and when this voltage drops below 120 V, the water heating will be powered from the mains voltage of 230 V AC.
